Staying Organized:

1.  In the download folder make another folder called My Memories and move appropriate downloads to subfolders within this folder.  You can also do this for Fonts and Outside Art.

2.  Remember to back up comonent folders of My Memories.

3.  My Memories has free items that go back as far as 3 years that you can download.

4.  Download My Memories art using the "general" option.  then you can use it in any program. 

5.  If you want a particular embellishment to show at the top of the folder, go to Properties, Customize, Apply.

DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING
USING SCRAPBOOK FACTORY

GETTING STARTED
 

I    
CREATE A  PROJECT

1  To  start a new project click on File - New – Choose  a Template –  Scrapbook

2     Explore  Categories and Subcategories. Browse to find a template you like

3     Use  Preview – Move slider bar.

4   Click  on the template of your choice and then click the Finish button

5     Double
Click the Picture Placeholder to Replace Graphic - Browse to find
pictures

6     Save  your project after each step





7   File - Save 

a     First time you save  you will get a Save As dialog Box

a)     Indicate the folder
name in the “Save in” box

b)     Name the
file

c)     It will Save as type:
*.sbk (this is the only choice)

8      
Preview  before you print

9       Save  before you print

 

II    TO MOVE A PICTURE

1   Drag and Drop Method:
Right click on object and when the pointer becomes a 4-headed arrow, click and
drag to move OR…

2    Another method is to
select the object and move with the directional arrow keys on the keyboard

 

III    ADD A LINE BORDER  ROUND THE PICTURE

1    Click on picture to  select it

2     From the Color Tab  the surface type should be line

3      Change the line
weight to the desired thickness by clicking on the down arrow. Choose the
thickness from the drop down menu (this currently says None)

 

IV      SIZE THE  PICTURE

1    Click  on the picture to select

2    Drag  a corner handle to adjust the size. NOTE: If you use the side or middle handles
you will distort the picture

V        ROTATE THE  PICTURE

1   Select  the picture that you want to rotate

2    Drag  the Rotate handle (the one coming from the center line) in the direction  you
want  the picture to turn

 

VI       CROP A  PICTURE

1   Right
click on image to select

 
 Crop -  Edit

a)   Click one of the
cropping styles and crop the graphic using any of the handles.

b)   Adjust crop size.
Point to a handle. When pointer becomes a 2-headed arrow, click and drag handles
to adjust the crop boundaries

 
Move Cropped  Area

a)   To drag the cropped
shape to a different area, move pointer into cropped area and when you see a
4-headed arrow, click and drag to move

b)    Click OK to return to
page

 

VII      REPLACE 
A PICTURE WITH ANOTHER PICTURE

1    Right  click on the picture that you want to replace

2    Click  replace graphic

3    Browse to find the replacement picture

4    Click
on the picture and click OK

5    Your  picture has been replaced. As can replace it as many times as you want

SBF 5 Correction for Greeting Cards

Here is the fix to the problem with wide cards displaying and printing
improperly in Scrapbook Factory v5.
 
Say you select Design from Scratch and choose one of the half fold
wide
cards. When the template appears on the screen and you look at the
inside of the card, it displays as a tall card.
Simply click on the Scrapbook Factory Icon (called the Main button) on the
upper left side of the screen and select Page Setup. On the Page Setup Screen
where it states Fold Type, change that to half fold wide.
